Returning and New Breakfast Favorites at Cracker Barrel
It wouldn’t have been fall at Cracker Barrel without the return of some classic breakfast favorites. This season, we brought back two old-time favorites: Good Morning Breakfast and Uncle Herschel’s Favorite Breakfast, and introduced our heartiest breakfast yet, the loaded Sausage & Egg Hash Brown Casserole.
Good Morning Breakfast
The Good Morning Breakfast was designed for those who love to eat a full breakfast, but don’t like feeling sluggish afterwards. Starting at 410 calories, it features fluffy egg whites, a side of fresh fruit, juicy sliced tomatoes, your choice of side (grits is highly recommended), and savory chicken sausage for a lighter start to the day. As usual, meat and sides can be substituted.
Uncle Herschel’s Favorite Breakfast
Uncle Herschel’s Favorite Breakfast is back: a plate that’s part breakfast, part tradition, and all heart.
- Two farm-fresh eggs* prepared how you like: over easy, over medium, over well, scrambled, sunny side up, or opt for egg whites.
- Your choice of breakfast meat: Country Ham, Sugar Cured Ham, crispy tender dippers, grilled chicken tenders, fried catfish, grilled catfish, or New York strip steak.
- Two sides of your choosing: two buttermilk pancakes, loaded hashbrown casserole, fresh fruit, plain hashbrown, hashbrown casserole, fried cinnamon apples, coarse ground grits, or sliced tomatoes.
- Freshly baked biscuits and gravy
*Starting at around 150 calories (before sides and choice of meat), this plate can be as hearty or as light as you like. Try swapping in fresh fruit for balance, or go all-in with our famous Hashbrown Casserole for comfort.

For those of you who like starting your day with a hearty breakfast, look no further than our sausage and egg hash brown casserole.
This loaded breakfast casserole starts with a hearty double helping of our signature potatoes, smothered in sawmill gravy and Colby cheese. It’s layered with scrambled eggs, smoked sausage, onions, sweet red peppers, and green chiles, then finished with crispy fried onions, diced tomatoes, and green onions. Served hot with our famous buttermilk biscuits.
Hearty Fall Entrées with a Seasonal Twist
Fall at Cracker Barrel isn’t just about cozy breakfasts and sweet seasonal sips; it’s also about hearty plates that satisfy all day long. This year’s menu brings back guest favorites and introduces bold new flavors to the table.

- Herb Roasted Chicken: Oven-roasted half chicken, crisped to perfection and finished with a citrus herb sauce. Comes with two classic sides and biscuits or corn muffins.
- BBQ Bacon Smokestack: A juicy ground beef burger stacked with cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, fried onions, pickles, and our country comeback sauce. Served with a classic side.
Fried Chicken Specialties – Weekends Only
On weekends only, we’re serving up two Southern fried chicken specialties made for fall gatherings:
- Honey Butter Southern Fried Chicken: Bone-in fried chicken drizzled with honey butter and served over grilled buttermilk biscuits, with two classic sides.
- Nashville Hot Southern Fried Chicken: Bone-in fried chicken with a fiery Nashville hot kick, served with sourdough bread, pickles, buttermilk ranch, and two classic sides.
Both fried chicken dishes are available exclusively on Saturdays and Sundays.
Seasonal Baked Favorites
Fall is for baking, and our kitchen is serving up tasty new sweets that are already guest favorites:
- Butter Pecan French Toast Bake: Vanilla custard-soaked country bread with cheesecake filling, crunchy praline pecan streusel, and drizzled in butter pecan syrup.
- Cinnamon Roll Skillet: Mini cinnamon rolls freshly baked with a gooey cinnamon filling, drizzled with cream cheese icing and served warm to share (or not).
